How to stop extreme eczema, probably caused by dustmites?

I grew up with eczema but went to the solarium at age 16 and it went away. Now that I’ve moved to College, I can’t control the carpeting and the bed that I sleep on, and now my eczema has gone absolutely nuts like all over my body.

I also wake up every morning and can’t open my eyes because my eyes have been weeping all through the night as if I have conjuctivitis.

I also am sneezing and have allergy like symptoms, but the eczema is the worst bit. Every time I go home from college the eczema vanishes real quick, so I know its not so much to do with food.

I went to the doctor and he told me to go buy antihistemenes and sent me on my way.

Is there any injections or something I can get to make myself less sensitive to dustmites and get rid of the eczema? :(

Since your bed may be causing your eczema, you should wash and change your sheets as much as possible. Be sure to use a laundry detergent that is natural or made for sensitive skin. Changing your sheets frequently will also help with the dust mite issue. The best way to get dust mites out of your carpet is to steam clean, but it sounds like that might not be an option for you. They also make sprays that are supposed to kill dust mites too. For your allergies an air cleaner with a hepa filter could help. They’re pretty small, so you should be able to keep one in your room.
