Viral infection: Eczema herpeticum, which can be life threatening, caused by contact with cold sores of fever blisters. Initial manifestation begins between 5 and 12 days after exposure. Patients do not always know that they com in contact with the virus, so it is important to know and notice these symptoms: more itchy, watery blisters included in the AD affected areas of skin.

If there is insufficient improvement or the condition is too severe, phototherapy can be used. In light therapy, specialized UV rays directed at the affected area using either lasers or solariums. This can also be helped by a medicine used to the area before treatment. This is not to be confused with natural sunlight, and although it does employ Ultraviolet
Lighting is the specialized and does not contain the entire UV spectrum. Attempts phototherapy through tanning not recommended, but moderate exposure to sunlight is fine. You will not achieve the same results through personal attempts to phototherapy as those obtained in a clinical setting.
If symptoms still do not see an improvement or the matter is extremely serious, systemic drugs can be used. These medications are taken into the body either orally or injected, and in cases of eczema, will usually consist of steroids. Systemic medications tend to have more side effects than any other form of treatment.
Whatever type of medical treatment you receive, you should avoid your triggers. Good moisturizing is also a key to your comfort. After washing or rinsing, always use a cream or oil-based moisturizer to wet skin, which will help the skin retain more moisture, reducing some of the itching.
Keep your nails cut short and dressed in white cotton gloves while you sleep to keep from scratching in your sleep. When bathing or washing, always use warm (not hot) water and a very mild soap that contains no perfume or dyes. Try to keep your stress level to a minimum in terms of higher levels of stress tend to make flare ups worse.
Treatment of infections is determined by the type and severity of the infection. Bacterial infections will be treated with local or systemic antibiotics, depending on severity.
Viral infections are treated with antivirals, which will vary depending on the specific viral and fungal infections are treated with antifungal medications. With any of these, be sure to use medication as directed by your doctor to obtain optimal results.
