soy milk eczema
My 3 + year old son has eczema and I have been giving him Nestle HA 2 formula (hypoallergenic). ?
The problem is that states that the formula is 6 months-3 years old. I've tried to switch to other dairy products, and his eczema came back after that. There is not a continuation of this formula, and I do not want to try soy milk yet.
Hi there, I tried NAN HA 1 for my daughter, now 10 months old, but it had no effect on her eczema or her spit up (She has since grown out of the spit up in the last month or so, finally!). I managed to get her eczema under control with 1% Hydrocortisone, when her skin was really bad (so dry nothing could penetrate it or moisture) – just for about 3 days at a time, two holidays in two weeks to apply twice daily) and then I got Diprobase ointment on her face, because it is richer and Diprobase cream for her skin. She does still flare-ups when I give her milk, such as yogurt and full fat milk, but these are mild and do not need any treatment. I figured that she will eventually grow, if completely when she comes into her early teens as I did, but she does not have a very strong case of eczema longer thank God. I am now playing with the idea of changing her full fat milk, but there is a new milk called Lactofree I believe in Tesco's, but I've only seen in the semi, so I'll have to look to try that with her and see how she gets it. If you do not want to change him to soy milk so just keep him on Nan HA 2, I'm sure it still gives him more than cows in any way. It will not cause him no harm and so long to get good nutrition the rest of his diet, stick with what works! There are plenty of foods that children eat, which offers no nutritional benefit at all, so do not beat yourself up looking for something different if what you have works.
