Eczema Free Forever

selsun blue eczema
Tinea versicolor, eczema, or something else?

I’m a 17 yr old girl, and for about 3 months I have had white spots around my bra area, on my back, arms, and chest. The area will not tan, but will burn, and is scaly and rough. When I was little I suffered from chronic eczema, but it seems to me like cortizone is not helping at all. So, I started to use Selsun Blue on my neck, back, and arms for about 3 days (figuring it was tinea versicolor)..the condition worsened. Now I seem to have more spots on my neck, and they are VERY itchy. My back also did not improve, now kind of looks more blotchy… not distinct spots anymore. I am a regular tanning bed user, and I find it odd that the spots disappear everytime I tan. They will burn over, but within a day the white, scaliness is back. I was wondering if anyone out there could PLEASE help me figure out what is wrong with my skin, and how to treat it. I would really appreciate your response.

You need to go to a dermatologist to see if you have vitiligo. It is a skin disease where the pigment leaves. If this is what you have, tanning is the worst thing you can do! Stay away from the tan bed until you find out.
White vinegar will take care of the itching and it only smells for a short while, until it is dry.
