infant eczema bleach
Has anyone used tea tree oil to treat infant eczema?
I refuse to use the new bleach bath method, but heard tea tree oil can help? If you've used it, it helped a lot and what brand? Please do not bother to mention Eucerine, Aquafor, Aveeno or cortisone. Already tried all of these. Have actually go to see a dermatologist for her. He prescribed a cortisone cream, which is good for the children of her age (4 months) but that was it. You can only use it for two weeks at a time at most. It works fine, until she has finished the two weeks, then it slowly comes back across her back and shoulders.
Have you taken him / her to an infant dermatologist? I took my daughter and she was prescribed two different drugs to mix together to put on eczema and other body cream. Within 2 weeks, it cleared everything up! Before you try tea tree oil, take him / her to a dermatologist. ETA: My doctor prescribed this for my DD. He prescribed her Bactroban (An antibiotic cream) to mix with Mometasone (a moderate steriod). We are suppose to mix them together and apply on legs 2X a day in 2 weeks, 1X per day for 2 weeks, and each second day for 2 weeks. Also he ordained EpiCeram, a skin barrier cream to use twice a day The mild cortisone did nothing for my daughter. It worked for a week, then come back. The moderate cortisone together with antibiotic cream really helped. Good luck, I hope you find something that will work!
