eczema washing detergent
My baby started to crawl and need to clean my carpets without the use of chemicals, how do I do that?
My son has eczema and we dont even use ordinary soap to wash our hands … we use dye & perfume free detergent on his clothes etc.So I am concerned about using regular carpet cleaning products.What can I do to clean carpets even in a safe manner, should I hire a company like Zerorez? Would it be better?
You can steam cleaned with water. But you can also try to touch the carpet cleaner to the child's skin to see if he has a reaction to it. We used to do this with the cleaner's and also food for the baby I nannied. Also, acidic foods were responsible for about 90% of his eczema. Dust will make it flare up, but cleaning was generally not a problem. We discovered that test a patch on his skin worked great for determining what would give him a reaction. Of course, his face would flare up all the time, but if we did a line on his arm with a little orange juice and got a red line that appears on his arm, we knew not to give him orange juice.
