baby eczema treatment

Does baby eczema eventually go away or will it always be a problem?
Our daughter gets round patches of eczema (looks a bit like ringworm, but doctor says it is not) at various places on her body – from her elbow to her buttocks. They are pretty responsive over-the-counter hydrocortisone therapy plus lotion. I 'm just curious if this is something she will grow or it predicts future eczema issues. I would ask your doctor, but my daughter was screaming and crying at the time. Oh, our daughter is almost 8 months old. Thank you!
Some babies grow out of eczema and some do not. My son had it very badly (more than whole body) when he was an infant. He is now three, and only a few outbreaks. Hopefully your daughter will be one of the lucky ones who will grow out of it. What has worked best for him is frangrance free detergent and dryer sheets, used in the entre family laundry, bathing with California Baby Super Sensitive, and moisturizing with Aquaphor.
